Rajesh Kumar Sahoo of Orissa secured a silver medal in boys` 35 kg weight category of the Sub-junior National Judo Championship at UC Collage Indoor Hall, Aluva, near Kochi (Kerala) on Tuesday. This was Orissa`s first sub-junior National medal in four years.
Bhubaneswar boy Rajesh beat his opponents from Karnataka, Gujarat and Delhi before losing to his counterpart from Haryana in the final. A standard seven student of BJEM School, Rajesh has been taking coaching at Orissa Judo Hall for the past two years and staying there with his mother Rashmi. State Judo Assopciation president Priyabrata Patnaik and secretary Gitanjali Panda congratulated Rajesh for his success.
